We are Sara-Lena and Daniel Bolay — graduate communication designers based in Düsseldorf, Germany.
What began during our design studies has grown into a shared design studio. For more than 15 years, we’ve been creating visual communication for cultural institutions, non-profit organisations and businesses — driven by a passion for clear ideas, precise design and personal collaboration on an equal footing.
Our backgrounds complement each other perfectly. Sara-Lena has taught graphic and corporate design at several universities. Daniel brings with him an completed apprenticeship and gained several years of professional experience as a advertising technician (signage and illuminated advertising), combining strategic design with a technical understanding of materials, production and implementation.
As an independent, owner-led studio, we combine strategic thinking with meticulous design and expand our team with a trusted network of specialists in strategy, copywriting, illustration, photography, development and production whenever a project requires it.
This results in bespoke solutions – flexible, efficient and with dedicated points of contact from the initial consultation right through to implementation.
